Mission Roof Systems' Brandon
Robinson exploited the collective
desperation by sneaking his way
into the lead after Bauman pushed
Beach wide. However, while do-
ing so, he was in turn nudged into
Bauman by Mees.
That double contact then
forced Robinson to exploit his

Mees and Briar Bauman and

las Daniels and JD Beach spent
the better part of the day hunting
for fleeting gaps to the front on
a smooth, one-lined track, and
then making them where they
were only half-imagined.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Kody
Kopp's tale of two seasons added up to a
championship, even with two races s ll
to be completed. Reflec ng on the day
that earned him his first Progressive AFT
number-one plate, he said, "I guess you
could say the nerves got to me at the start
of the main event. That was probably the
worst start I've go en in a main event all
year. It made me have to work for it. About
halfway through that main, I realized I was
fourth. My whole goal was to win it, so
si ng in fourth, I started coun ng points. I
didn't think I had it wrapped up, but it was
enough. Winning the championship is a
dream come true. I've been thinking about
this since I was four years old, walking
around the pits watching dad do it. A lot of
work has been put in by the Red Bull KTM
team."
