The U.S. Team, made up of 450cc MX and Supercross Champion Eli Tomac, Chase Sexton and Justin Cooper, led from the get-go but could never relax due to the on-again/off-again rain and muddy conditions and formidable competition from some of the other high-profile teams, including Australia and France, that each took a moto win, along with opening-race winner Tomac.
