2023 KTM 890 Adventure R First Look IN THE WIND P44 K TM used the 2022 KTM Adventure Rally in Donnelly, Idaho, to introduce the brand's new 890 Adventure R for 2023. The 2023 890 Adventure R utilizes the same engine and chassis platform but gets some significant updates to the suspension, electronics and styling. The fully adjustable WP Xplor forks and WP Xplor PDS rear shock have been retuned for more off-road performance and to reduce long-distance rider fatigue, while the styling has been updated to give more of a resemblance to KTM's fac- tory Dakar Rally racers. The redesigned bodywork and tank provide a sleeker look, and improved ergonomics along with claimed improvements in aerody- namics and wind protection. The 2023 890 Adventure R includes a new five-inch TFT dash that includes USB-C connectors. The appearance has been changed significantly with newly designed graphics, and the latest upgrades include a developed turn-by-turn-plus naviga- tion system that allows riders to select their preferred destination from the bike's menu. The electronics still use the Bosch six-axis IMU and there's Off-Road ABS that lets you disengage the ABS on the rear, plus the Off Road and Rally ECU modes, so you don't need to separately select your ABS setting from your chosen engine settings. KTM is making it possible for buy- ers to use the Demo Mode, which allows the rider to try most of the optional electronics features for the first 1000 miles. After that, they can return to the dealership to decide what features they want to pay for and what they'd like switched off. MSRP has yet to be released. CN KTM unveiled the updated 2021 KTM 890 Adventure R.
