The Trans-AMA Motocross Series got underway in Copetown, Ontario,

LOOKING BACK
Kawasaki revealed its complete line of 1983 motorcycles, and we pictured
the GPz1100 on the cover... We also showed you some of the hottest bikes
at the Cologne Show. We were impressed with the Kawasaki 750 Turbo...
We had coverage of the Motocross of Nations from Germany, where Team
USA—Danny Chandler, David Bailey, Jim Gibson and Johnny O'Mara—
took the win. Chandler won both motos. Chandler also won both motos the
week before at the Trophee des Nations... Saddleback hosted the opening
round of the Miller High Life Trans-Cal Series. Broc Glover, Steve Martin
and Ron Lechien were the big winners.
