Remy Gardner To WorldSBK, Gerloff To BMW A ustralian Remy Gardner looks set to switch to the WorldSBK paddock in 2023 with the Yamaha GRT outfit in place of Garrett Gerloff, who is reportedly on the way to the Bonovo BMW squad that currently fields Loris Baz. Gardner, who was recently told his place in the Tech3 KTM Mo- toGP team was no longer avail- able for 2023, has been eyeing a switch to the production class after all the MotoGP seats filled up for next year. Just who will partner the Australian is yet to be determined. GRT currently fields Kohta Nozana alongside Gerloff, but the Japanese's results have been underwhelming and names that have been put as a potential replacement include BSB Cham- pion Tarran Mackenzie, Bradley Ray and even MotoAmerica Su- perbike Champion Jake Gagne. Another name looking to join the WorldSBK ranks is current WorldSSP and MotoE Champion, Dominique Aegerter who has been linked to a ride with Peder- cini Kawasaki. CN IN THE WIND P36 Remy Gardner looks like he's off to replace Garrett Gerloff at GRT Yamaha. Marquez Putting Up With The Pain On MotoGP Return M arc Marquez admitted he was "suffering more than enjoying" his first runs on the Honda RC213V at the Misano test last week, as the eight-time World Champion's recupera- tion from his right arm operation continued. After 100 days off, Marquez completed 39 laps on the first day and returned to ride a revamped chassis with a new Kalex-designed swingarm for day two, completing 28 laps and finishing 13th, 0.588 seconds off pacesetter Fabio Quartararo. "The bone is 100 percent fit, so the bone feels perfect, it is more the muscles," Mar- quez said. "On the fractured area, I don't feel any pain but it is more all the elbow that I feel some pain and in the shoulder. "But in the arm, I feel okay, but it is true that the elbow, I feel some pain and especially on the shoulder on the back part, I have some pain there." Marquez has not yet decided if he will participate in this week- end's Aragon MotoGP, adding he will not race unless he be- lieves he can be fully competitive against Quartararo and Frances- co Bagnaia. CN Marc Marquez wants to be back but won't risk it at Aragon if he's not ready.
