AUGUST 1-6, 2022 LORETTA LYNN'S RANCH / HURRICANE MILLS, TENNESSEE P92 MOTOCROSS I 2022 ROCKY MOUNTAIN ATV/MC AMA AMATEUR NATIONAL MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP it up with Orange Brigade KTM's Seth Dennis to win the Mini Sr. 1 class. Dudney and Dennis split moto wins in the first two motos, but Dudney's second-place finish in the final moto trumped Dennis' fourth, giving Dudney the na- tional title. Husqvarna's Deacon Denno was third overall with a 4-6-3 finish. Dudney also won the 85cc (10-12) class, his 3-1-2 perfor- mance besting Orange Brigade KTM's Brennon Harrison's 6-5-3 for the national title. Seth Dennis went 2-4-10 for third. Kade Johnson did just what he needed to do to win the Mini Sr .2 division, coming from outside the top 10 to an eventual fifth in the final moto. The NSA/Rock River Yamaha rider went 2-1-5 to beat out Orange Brigade KTM team- mates Nathan Hummel (4-3-2) and Jesson Turner (6-5-1) for the national championship. In the 85cc (10-12) Limited division, Husqvarna Factory Amateur Rider Vincent Wey kept Orange Brigade KTM's Landon Gibson from sweeping the class with a last-moto victory, leaving Gibson to take the class title with a 1-1-2 score, while Wey went 3-4-1 for second. GasGas Fac- tory Amateur rider Jonathan Getz was third with a 6-5-3 total. Sophia Phelps came from out- side the top 20 to win the third and deciding moto of the highly competitive WMX class, giving the Team Green Monster En- ergy Kawasaki rider the national title in the division. Phelps and Oehlhof claimed the national championship with a 1-4-1 moto score, followed by Wood in sec- ond with 3-1-2. Gordon was third overall with a 4-2-3 moto score. Monster Energy Team Green Kawasaki's Cade Dudney mixed at the exit of the 10 Command- ments. However, Wood went down on lap eight, taking some pressure off of Oehlhof. At the finish, Oehlhof took the win by 25 seconds ahead of Wood, with Gordon finishing third. Leum Oehlhof celebrates winning the SuperMini 2 (13-16) Championship. Caden Dudney won the Mini Sr. 1 (12-14) Championship.
