It was a long, arduous jour- ney back to the top of the box for Rush, who is still limping off the bike and only participating in select rounds after suffering a severely broken left leg in last season's finale. A teary-eyed Rush said, "I never doubted myself. It's been a rough road coming off the couch and getting back to what I love doing. These guys rode a hell of a race, and I knew we had our work cut out for us. Just a big shout out to my team. I couldn't do it without the Helipower Racing/Las Vegas Harley-Davidson team. My crew works their tail off and it's an honor to ride these bikes." The evening also proved fruitful for G&G Racing Yamaha pilot Texter, who picked up five points in the title fight on Janisch. The two now stand just six points apart with that same number of races left to decide the championship.
