F
ormer factory Yamaha rider Josh Hill will
compete in the fledgling FIM World Super-
cross Championship.
Hill has signed on with the Craig Dack-
owned CDR Yamaha Team for the 2022 sea-
son. Hill joins the team's Luke Clout, Aaron
Tanti and Kyle Chisholm.
"Competing for Craig Dack Racing on a
global stage in the FIM-sanctioned World Su-
percross Championship was a historic oppor-
tunity too compelling to pass up," said Hill.
"Josh brings valuable experience and an
engaging personality to the team," said Dack.
"We expect him to be in the hunt for podium
performances pretty consistently. He's a great
addition to the team."
The three-round series kicks off in Wales,
October 8.

T
he AMA is expected to announce the three
racers who will represent the U.S. in this
year's Motocross des Nations. Most likely, this
will happen this weekend, August 13, at the Un-
adilla round of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross
Championship.
Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha's Eli
Tomac and Honda HRC's Chase Sexton are
expected to be named, but who will ride a 250cc
for the team remains to be seen. We do know,
however, that Justin Barcia, who at one time
said was interested in the job, won't be going
to RedBud after all. The TLD/Red Bull/GasGas
Team rider who has MXdN experience recently
announced that he has pulled himself out of the
running, saying he wants to instead focus on the
remaining rounds of the outdoor Nationals.
"After a ton of debating," Barcia said, "I don't
believe it would be fair to the team when I'm not
able to 100 percent prepare on a 250 right now."
At this point, veteran racer Christian Craig, the
2022 250SX West Supercross Champion and
a member of the Monster Energy Star Racing
Yamaha Team, seems to be the likely choice.
