August 6-7, for the MXGP of
Sweden, where Yamaha riders
Jeremy Seewer and Jago Geerts
took home their respective over-

MXGP
Race one kicked off with MXGP
rookie Maxime Renaux grab-
bing the holeshot and taking the
early lead ahead of his Yamaha
teammates, Glenn Coldenhoff
and Jeremy Seewer. These
three controlled the race from
the front while action unfolded
on the rough track behind them.
Seewer eventually passed Cold-
enhoff for second, but Renaux
remained up front en route to
another race win. Points leader
Tim Gajser finished just off the
podium in fourth.
Seewer then took the hole-
shot in race two, while Renaux
tangled in turn two and hit the
deck. The race-one winner
would not finish the second
moto. Meanwhile, Seewer con-

held off charges from Gajser and
Romain Febvre and retained the
lead through to the checkers.
Gajser finished closely behind
in second with Febvre taking
the final podium spot. Seewer's
2-1 finishes earned him another
overall ahead of Gajser's 4-2 and
Coldenhoff in third with 3-5.

The MX2 championship is coming
down to the wire with only 23
points separating Jago Geerts
and Tom Vialle. While Kawasaki's
Kevin Horgmo grabbed the hole-
shot in the opening MX2 race, it
