AMA Announces 2022 Hall of Fame Inductees T he AMA announced the 2022 Hall of Fame inductees, which includes Speedway World Champion Greg Hancock, Su- percross/Motocross Champion James Stewart, AMA Superbike and WorldSBK Champion Ben Spies, GNC champ Kenny Cool- beth, Effie Hotchkiss and Sandy Kosman. The six inductees will be honored during the 2022 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on October 28 in Pickerington, Ohio. "The Class of 2022 includes men and women who have excelled in competition, engi- neering, design, motorcycle adventure and more," said AMA President and CEO Rob Ding- man. "Some are champions in many of our premier racing disci- plines—motocross, road racing, dirt track and speedway—while others excelled in limit-expanding adventures, or helping riders and teams reach their on-track poten- tial. We are honored to recognize these motorcycling greats this October 28 at the AMA Motor- cycle Hall of Fame." The induction ceremony will include a cocktail reception at the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame followed by dinner and the induction ceremony at the nearby Violet Township Event Center on Friday evening, with the following day to include an Open House and Class of 2022 installation exhibit in the AMA Hall of Fame Museum on the AMA campus. CN IN THE WIND P34 James Stewart is one of six who will be inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in October. GasGas Launches New- Gen Trials Bikes G asGas introduced its line of 2023 TXT Rac- ing and TXT GP trials bikes. Six models—four TXT Racing and two TXT GP—in all will be avail- able. The TXT models will come in four engine displacements: 125cc, 250cc, 280cc and 300cc. The GP will be available in two dis- placements, 250cc and 300cc. Both models feature a long list of up- dates, including new frames, and engine and suspension updates. The Racing range will be available in late August, and the GP range "shortly after." CN GasGas' top-of-the-line trials bikes, the TXT GPs, feature a host of changes for 2023.
