he qualified first and set a time
that would've put him third over-
all in the 450MX class.
In the motos, it was more of
the same. Lawrence grabbed two
holeshots and led all but one lap
throughout the day. It's almost
as if last week's engine malfunc-
tion poured fuel on the fire and
motivated him to stomp the field.
This was the first round he rode
with the black number plate, but
after a great day, he reclaimed
the points lead and holds it by 15
over brother Hunter.
"I have to be pumped," Jett
said. "Hunter had a rough one
today. I'd rather not do it that way
and would have rather raced him
for it, but the track was brutal. It
was a really good day, and my
starts were good, so I'm happy."
Fresh off the overall win last
weekend, Jo Shimoda looked to
be riding more confidently than
ever. The Kawasaki rider came
through the pack in both motos
