Aaron Plessinger
scored his first podium
of the year.
ROUND 6 / JULY 9, 2022
THE WICK 338 / SOUTHWICK, MASSACHUSETTS
P66
MOTOCROSS I LUCAS OIL AMA PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP
hit the track, qualifying first and
topping both motos. By doing
so, he cut the points deficit to
just one behind Chase Sexton.
Halfway through the series and
the Tomac train is leaving the
station.
"We're just doing what we
can," Tomac said. "This is a
gnarly points race, and neither
of us [Chase Sexton and I] have
made a mistake yet or blinked.
We're both riding really strong; I
just got better starts today. This
track is so difficult. It just takes
everything out of you. I'm done
[physically], but it makes winning
here that much more satisfying."
This is the second round that
Honda's Chase Sexton has
Ken Roczen led
early in both
450MX motos but
couldn't hold the
pace. He went 6-4
on the day.
