resh N Lean Progressive Yamaha Racing's Jake Gagne may
have taken his time to get into his title defense in 2022, but the
Colorado resident has well and truly kicked into gear with two re-
sounding victories at round six of the MotoAmerica FIM North American
Road Race Championship at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
Qualifying third behind polesitter Mathew Scholtz (Westby Racing
Yamaha) and main title rival Danilo Petrucci (Warhorse HSBK Racing
Ducati NYC), Gagne swept into the lead from the get-go on both en-
counters, put down his traditional three early heaters and built a gap
over the chasing pack that proved insurmountable.
Jake Gagne has
