Despite coming up just short, it was another promising ou ng a er a difficult start to the season. He said, "Just a lot [of emo ons]. It was a long day. [Ryan] got hurt and he's in our hearts and on our minds. It was a long race. I've never been in that posi on before, just clicking my laps off one a er one. I got a li le anxious, probably the last eight laps, and started making mistakes. But hey, you know, two champs breathing down my neck. We'll take it, but this one went through our fingers." 52 SHAYNA TEXTER- BAUMAN 11TH SUPERTWINS Indian Motorcycle's Shayna Texter- Bauman equaled her best result of the season in 11th. More importantly, she was more compe ve than she'd been all year, reaping the benefit of the team's efforts to make the FTR750 more suitable to her style and stature. She said, "I think today was a big step in the right direc- Jarod Vanderkooi (left) finished runner-up, coming close to nabbing his career-first win.
