Fourth in race one went to Westby Racing's Mathew Scholtz. The South African had his hands full with Tytlers Cycle Racing's Hector Barbera as the Spaniard continued his impres- sive run of 2022 season form in fifth. He was never headed in any qualifying or practice session, either, meaning it was complete and utter Gagne domination for the first time in 2022. Race one saw Gagne lead home teammate Cameron Pe- tersen as the South African took his fifth podium of the season ahead of Petrucci, who was able to take the restart after crashing MYOWNRACE 1 JAKE GAGE 1-1 SUPERBIKE "It was a good weekend. I've always liked this track. It's really technical, lots of ups and downs," Gagne said. "We've had a lot of great weekends, but this is one of those tracks that really suits the Yamaha, for sure. A er yesterday and all those red flags, it was kind of crazy, got off to a bunch of good starts. Today, everybody stepped it up and had a li le more pace than yesterday. So, I knew if I could lead into turn one, I had to push as hard as I could for four or five laps and see if I could have a gap or not. Luckily, I was able to have some clean laps and kind of get a gap. It was a fun race. Kind of flew by pre y quick. We keep making progress. We know we've got to because these guys are making progress every weekend as well." 2 JOSH HERRIN 1-1 SUPERSPORT "Two wins this weekend, so I'm super happy with how everything went," Herrin said. "We had a feeling that the Duca Panigale V2 would work well around this track, and we were right—it has been near perfect all weekend.
