Hickman Dominates 2022
Isle of Man TT
P
eter Hickman became only
the fourth rider in history to
win four Isle of Man TT races in a
single meeting after dominating
performances in the Superbike,
Superstock, Super Twin and
Senior TT races.
The Gas Monkey Garage by
FHO Racing rider came into the
first TT in three years as the out-
right lap record holder from 2018
and desperate to reclaim his
blue-ribbon Senior TT title after
a mechanical malfunction while
leading in 2019 saw the win go to
Kawasaki's Dean Harrison.
There would be no such drama
in 2022 as Hickman claimed the
Senior TT win by 16.918 sec-
onds from Harrison (DAO Racing
Kawasaki) and local Manx rider
Conor Cummins (Milenco by
Padgetts Honda).
Hickman's win in the Senior
capped off a near perfect week
in which he was only beaten
by archrival Michael Dunlop in
the two Supersport races, the
Northern Irish legend going on to
take his 20th and 21st victories.
Dunlop is now just five race wins
behind his uncle Joey on the
all-time TT wins record list, with
21 victories to Joey's record 26.
John McGuinness is second on
the list with 23 wins.
Dunlop's race-one Supersport
victory came after a monumental
last lap in which he broke the lap
record with an average speed of
129.475 mph to lead home Har-
rison by 5.6 seconds with Hick-
man taking third on the Triumph
Daytona 765 after the three-lap
race was red flagged following
