ROUND 3 / JUNE 11, 2022 THUNDER VALLEY / LAKEWOOD, COLORADO P66 MOTOCROSS I LUCAS OIL AMA PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP MYOWNRACE 1 JETT LAWRENCE 1ST (2-2) "I'm happy just to get through this day," Je Lawrence said. "I just went flat, and my speed wasn't there, although I'm be er than last weekend. It obviously helped ge ng really good starts today, but I didn't think my sprin ng was that great because Levi and Hunter both were able to gap me. I hate to keep using the sickness, but last year I was fine here with the al tude. Hunter and I didn't do much this week, just mainly starts. I think our bodies are working twice as hard during the moto because they're figh ng off the sickness and then riding. It's annoying, but I've been lucky to put myself in pre y good spots with my starts. 222 ANTONIO CAIROLI 5TH (5-4) 450MX Tony Cairoli grabbed the holeshot in both motos and ran up front for the early stages of each race. "I'm really happy about the race," he said. "Of course, I know that with my condi oning, all those guys in front are prepared for racing and winning the championship, and last mo- ment only a month ago, I started to really work out to be here and it's not enough. I felt today, I was a li le bit worse off with the al tude. We have already made a big improvement from the first round so I think we are in a good place."
