Five laps in and just 3.8 seconds covered the top 25. Further chaos was added when pole sitter Dennis Foggia (Leopard Honda) retired on lap seven when his chain jumped the sprocket due to taking a high curve. Then a turn-10 col- lision between David Salvador (Max Racing Husqvarna), Dani Holgado (Ajo KTM) and Ryusei Yamanaka (MSI KTM) on the ninth lap temporarily splintered the lead group. But soon the lead freight train was back together. That was un- til Guevara started gapping the men behind. The Majorcan was 0.7 seconds faster than second- placed Deniz Oncu (Tech3 KTM) on the 17th lap, and from there he made the decisive break. Sergio Garcia (Aspar GasGas), Munoz and Tatsuki Suzuki (Leop- ard Honda) all reacted but could do little as Guevara eased clear to win his second race of the year by 1.9 seconds. Behind, Munoz jumped from fourth to second on the final lap by passing Garcia on the entry to turn five, then barging past Suzuki on the exit. Suzuki then nabbed third from Garcia on the final turn. Oncu was fifth ahead of Carlos Tatay (PruestelGP ROUND 9 / JUNE 3-5, 2022 CIRCUIT OF BARCELONA / CATALUNYA, SPAIN P88 MOTOGP I MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Celstino Vietti scored the win in what was a thrilling Moto2 race. Unfortunately, American Joe Roberts crashed out while leading.
