rible. Jett rode a consistent race and benefitted from the mistakes of others around him. His 3-1 finishes earned him the overall. Despite pulling through with the overall win, Jett was in no mood to celebrate on the podium, as he continued to deal with his illness. He admitted that he threw up just before the start of the second moto. Justin Cooper showed the motocross world he is back. After a serious foot injury sidelined him for the entire Supercross series, Cooper bounced back at round two of outdoors with the fastest qualifying time, two holeshots, came into the weekend dealing with a cold and was visibly under the weather on the start line. He held tough in moto one, while leaders Michael Mosiman and Justin Cooper cleared them- selves from the number-one. Even brother Hunter Lawrence made easy work of "Jettson" before later falling and handing the position back. Jett looked to be playing it safe at that point and still man- aged a third which kept him in contention for the overall. A strong second moto played to his favor as he led nearly the entire race despite feeling ter- charging through the field and making quick work of the front runners. The knee seemed to be all right as Tomac passed for the lead just past the 10-minute mark and held on to the finish. This is his first outdoor moto win with the Star Racing Yamaha team and Tomac's 4-1 finishes earned him the final spot on the overall podium. 250MX Again, more excitement in the 250 class as it's still anyone's season. Jett Lawrence, though, is making it tough on the rest of the field. Last year's champ ROUND 2 / JUNE 4, 2022 PRAIRIE CITY SVRA / RANCHO CORDOVA, CALIFORNIA P72 MOTOCROSS I LUCAS OIL AMA PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP Justin Cooper was on all day. He qualified fastest and grabbed both 250MX holeshots.
