VOLUME 59 ISSUE 23 JUNE 7, 2022 P63
The '23 Beta 125
RR is the most
changed of the two-
stroke line of RRs.
T
he four-stroke RRs are back from Beta. After
a six-year hiatus, Beta is bringing back its line
of RR four-strokes for the 2023 model year.
Recently, Beta's four-strokes—350, 390, 430 and
500—have only been offered in either Race Edition
or dual sport (RS) trim. Now, you have the less-
expensive RRs to choose from again. Beta says it will
introduce the Race Edition models at a later date.
The RR four-strokes feature twin fuel injectors,
diaphragm clutch, electric starting and dual engine
maps. They also feature traction control, just like the
Race Editions.
The RR two-strokes (125, 200, 250 and 300cc)
return with redesigned bodywork, updated
suspension settings and a major update to the 125's
engine. Some of these updates for the 125 include a
lighter flywheel and a smaller-diameter crankshaft to
improve engine response. The crankcase has also
been updated and the exhaust power valve has been
recalibrated to match the other engine changes.
The two-stroke RR models will be available in
August, the four-stroke RRs in November.
