the overall. Prado claimed sec-
ond overall with Coldenhoff third.
MX2
The French fans came alive for
their countryman, Tom Vialle. The
Red Bull KTM rider started third
but made his way to the lead after
only a few laps. Monster Energy
Yamaha's Jago Geerts got off to a
poor start but worked his way up
through the field and into the sec-
ond spot. He got within striking
distance but then fell on one of
the tricky off-cambers just before
the finish line. This practically so-
lidified the running order as Vialle
took the race-one win over Geerts
and Simon Langenfelder (Red
Bull GasGas).
Vialle again grabbed the
holeshot in race two. Yamaha's
Thibault Benistant ran just behind
in second after a strong open-
ing race and later took the lead
from Vialle on the first lap. Geerts
again got off to a mediocre start
but made a number of passes in
the first few sections of the track
to move into third. The Yamaha
rider later passed the points lead-
er Vialle, who suffered a big mis-
take but retained third position.
Up front though it was Benistant
controlling the lead to the finish
while Geerts and Vialle rounded
out the podium. Vialle's 3-1 scores
earned him the overall ahead of
Geerts and Benistant.
