Seewer, Vialle Fastest In France T he MXGP World Champion- ship headed to Ernee, France for round 10 of the series. A huge storm created muddy conditions during Saturday's qualifying races, which saw a number of the top riders sit out the motos entirely. Despite the early drama, things cleared up for Sunday's Grand Prix. France's own Tom Vialle took home the MX2 overall while Monster Energy Yamaha's Jeremy Seewer claimed the MXGP victory. MXGP The first race of the MXGP divi- sion saw a huge pileup off the start which claimed a handful of favor- ites including points leaders Tim Gajser (Team HRC) and Maxime Renaux (Monster Energy Yamaha). Red Bull GasGas Factory Racing's Jorge Prado was credited with the holeshot and began to lead the early laps. Jeremy Seewer stalked Prado for nearly the entire race and executed a pass with only a lap and a half remaining. Seewer went on to take the race win over Prado and Riley Racing's Brent Van doninck. Gajser, meanwhile, had a disastrous moto with a num- ber of mistakes and crashes. He crossed the line fifth. Race two once again saw Prado at the front, taking his 11th holeshot of the season. Seewer started just behind Prado but was bumped out of the main line and dropped back to fifth almost right away. The two Yamahas of Seewer and Glenn Coldenhoff proceeded to make their way to the front as the duo pulled up be- hind Prado. Near the end of the race it was Coldenhoff who found a way through on Prado. Shortly after, Seewer bumped Prado out of second place where the two would finish. Gajser again fal- tered multiple times and despite a number of attacks he finished fourth. Coldenhoff took the moto win, his first since Latvia 2020, but it was Seewer who claimed IN THE WIND P18 The home crowd came alive for their countryman, Tom Vialle. The Frenchman rode to the overall MX2 win with a 1-3 score.
