Baggett took control of the race.
Roczen, who had made a miraculous comeback, had a good
start, too, and was into second
quickly.
Roczen would get around
Baggett for the lead a few laps
later, as Tomac was working his
way forward after another so-so
getaway.
Roczen, desperate to pull
back as many points as he could
after his first-moto DNF, went
after Baggett and eventually got
around the number-one plate
holder, but Tomac was coming
up fast.
Tomac had the Spring Creek
track figured out and would reel
in and get by Baggett for second,
and then Roczen for the lead on
P49
the same lap midway through the
race.
From there, Tomac would pull
away for a two-moto sweep.
Roczen saved half of his day
by finishing second.
"Luckily I walked away from
that crash with no broken bones,"
