"Ho- molgation works, together with the risks caused by the ongoing geopolitical situation in the re- gion," have forced the postpone- ment of the Finnish GP, which was scheduled to take place at the KymiRing. According to a release from MotoGP (FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports), "The current circum- stances have created delays and put the ongoing work at the new circuit at risk. All parties have therefore agreed that the track's debut must be postponed to 2023, when MotoGP looks forward to returning to Finland for the first time in four decades." The final 2022 FIM MotoGP World Championship calendar is therefore expected to comprise 20 rounds. The Spaniard crashed out of the French GP due to a numb- ness in his hand, a consequence of his crash at Portimao last April. "The solution to improve it is to have surgery after Barcelona be- cause otherwise it was too soon, and I wouldn't be able to race here, so we wait," he said. "I did treatments after France but that's also why 100 percent, I will make a surgery. I want to make it 100 percent for the future." He also complained that his '22- spec engine—different than that used by factory Ducati riders Jack Miller and Pecco Bagnaia—has been a reason behind his recent poor run. "With this new bike and engine, I am struggling a lot to find the rear grip. When we find grip, I lose in other corners. It has been a difficult season so far for us to find the feeling, but we need to keep working and when we find it out we will be fast, I think." Neil Morrison Jorge Martin will undergo surgery to relieve nerve pain in his hand. The Finland round of the MotoGP Championship has been canceled. It is expected to be back on the schedule next year.
