Italian held third position. Pole-sitter Aron
Canet (Flexbox HP40) was running sec-
ond to Acosta when he crashed not long
past the halfway mark.
Cameron Beaubier (American Racing
Team) and his teammate Sean Dylan Kelly
finished seventh and 23rd, respectively.
Vietti and Ogura are tied at 108 at the top
and Canet is third with 89 points.

RNF'S SWITCH
TO APRILIA
Aprilia courted further headlines on Friday as it was con-
firmed the RNF MotoGP team will become the factory's
satellite team for 2023 and '24, with an option to extend for
two further years. It will be the first time Aprilia has ever had
a satellite squad in the MotoGP class, and marks further
progress in its fortunes. Along with RNF team owner Razlan
Razali, the factory will be responsible for rider choice, and
will also use the outfit to train and grow its factory race
engineers. "We are thinking of the riders and the best
competitiveness, but also of raising new generations of
engineers, technicians and managers (in the team)," said
Rivola. Alex Rins and Raul Fernandez are two names that
have been linked to the RNF seats for 2023.
