himself into the lead through
the tricky EnduroCross section
of the course. After taking the
lead, he began slowly extending
his gap over the next four hours
of racing. After completing five
laps, Hart finished more than 12
minutes ahead of Colton Haaker.
"It was a really great week-
end in Iowa! I was able to take
the hot lap win on Saturday and
everything just fell into place on
Sunday," Hart said. "My bike
was awesome all day and I didn't
have any big crashes or any-
thing. Towards the end, I had to
deal with lapped traffic in some
of the sections but overall, it was
a pretty clean race and I had a
lot of fun."
Haaker was the only other
rider to complete five laps and
made a strong charge late in the
race.
Ryder LeBlond rounded off
the podium in third after com-
pleting four laps.
David Knight and Quinn
Wentzel also finished strong,
claiming fourth and fifth, respec-
tively. Shelby Turner won the Pro
Women's class and qualified for
the Sunday Pro Race but opted
out due to a foot injury.
The next round of the AMA
U.S. Hard Enduro Series will be
the Bad Medicine Hard Enduro
on May 28-29 in Little Hocking,
Ohio.
