ship, 10 points over Lawrence. "Obviously, there was a lot of pressure throughout the day with the championship on the line and being the last round, but I feel like I handled it all pretty well," said Craig. "I just took it practice by practice and enjoyed every moment. I was treating it like any other race, but at the same time, I also knew what could happen. "In the main event, I was riding a little tight, knowing where I was and where I needed to be, and finished eighth to clinch this title. This is something I've dreamed of and worked for my whole life. I'm just going to sit here and enjoy it." CN 450SX Results 1. Jason Anderson (Kaw) 26 Laps 2. Chase Sexton (Hon) +02.364 3. Jalek Swoll (Hus) +46.068 went on to have a solid main event, finishing third as the top East rider on the grid. This finish also tied his season-best finish and secured third overall in the East championship. "Coming out of the LCQ almost helped me nerves-wise because I just didn't care," said Brown. "I was like, 'this night is whatever and we're going to send it.' We got a good start from the outside and just put laps together. It was really tricky tonight, and I didn't want to go over the limit and put myself on the ground. I was just timing where I could push and where I couldn't." Craig, needing just a 14th- place finish or better to win the title, got a good start and rode seemingly relaxed until he fell and gave up a handful of spots in the process. He gathered himself and pushed on, finishing eighth at the checkers and wrapping up his first career 250SX Champion- still a solid result for second in the championship. "Yeah, it was tough, I was feel- ing it from the start," Lawrence said. "He [Thrasher] got me on the first few laps, and I was jumping through the whoops which I was losing a lot of time in. I was watching the clock, I didn't have that extra bit of strength and energy tonight. So, I was watching the clock trying to time it and not gas myself out. But it was a good race. It was really close in a few spots, and I thought if I had gone a little more it might have been different but might have put us both on the ground. Just kept it clean and it was a good race." Pierce Brown came out with a third place. The Utah native had quite the night getting to the main event and went through the LCQ. He luckily won the last- chance-qualifier which locked up his spot in the main.
