Lawrence came home second
in the showdown, only 0.432
seconds behind Thrasher. Law-
rence grabbed the early lead but
an aggressive pass from Thrasher
looked to catch him by surprise
and allowed the Yamaha rider to
get through. Lawrence was on his
own in second place and did what
he could to keep Craig behind
him. At the finish, a second-place
finish wasn't enough for a title, but
