Teenage sensation Colin Edwards
III continued to impress. The 18-yearold Texan, who won the 1992 AMA
250cc Grand Prix National Championship, had his first extensive session on the Yamaha superbike.
"1 knew moving up to superbike
would be a big change," Edwards
said. "1 didn't realize just how big it
would be. You sort of have to learn to
ride all over again. So, that's what
I've been doing for three days - learning how the bike feels, how it handles."
Edwards spent as much time on
the track as possible, proving he's a
quick learner by getting down to a
fast lap of 1:54.80.
