a sizeable lead on class runner-up Dwain Miller at the end of the run. Miller was another four minutes ahead of Duane Sprouse, the third-fastest 250cc A rider. Robert Tominello returned to form in the 200cc A class and his win moved cl~ er to claiming the class title. Series rival Chad Froman finished right on Tominello's heels in the closest class battle of the day. Tominello led throughout the contest, but Froman's late-race surge brought him to within two bikelengths of the race win.· Jeff Lauth rounded out the top three in the class. Almost as close was the Four-Stroke A class. Honda pilots Jared Green and Steve Holbert battled with Suzuki's Mark Hyde, until Hyde was forced out of the contest with a flat tire. Green and Holbert then turned their attentions to one another and took the fight all the way to the finish line. Green won by just four seconds, as he and Holbert climbed into seventh and eighth overall, respectively, career-highs for each ride•. Mike Decherd was the third-fastest thumper rider. Terry Mealer topped the Senior +40 class with a win that was more than seven minutes over Joseph Hull. Alan Bnitto placed third in the final tally. The Senior +45 division was conquered by John Gallagher, who bettered Joe Lojak by just. 14 seconds in another narrow class battle. Dave Dehner raced to third in the final results. Fastest of the +50 Super Senior riders was Dave Coombs Sr. The Yamaha rider completed six laps en route to winning by six minutes over perennial favorite Harry Greenlee. Richard Uchic rounded out the top three in the class. The leader in the Masters +55 group was Donald Harless. Tom Harris won the Open A class with an advantage of just over two minutes on series points-leader Ron Palermo. Each rider completed all seven laps and finished in the top 20 overall; Harris scored 12th and Palermo 14th. John Vincent fin(.N ished third on the day.
