IN THE WIND By Papa Wealey California Trail Rides Presents The 3rd Annual ~~ Continued from page 3 Stanton, Lamson will compete in the 250cc Supercross and 250 and 500cc National MX Series. Jeremy McGrath, who will leave Team Peak/Pro Circuit, has signed with Honda for the 250cc Supercross and the 125cc National Series. Also riding for Honda will be Doug Henry, who this season is riding for DGY Racing. Henry will compete in the 125cc National and Eastern Regional Supercross Series. According to Team Honda Manager Dave Arnold, one other 125cc rider may also be hired to contest the l25cc National and Western Regional Supercross Series. Honda's hiring of perhaps three 125cc riders lends credibility to the rumor that Team Peak will field Kawasakis next year. Team Yamaha's Doug Dubach was back in action at the August 30 Binghamton MX National, competing in the 125cc class. Dubach has had to sit out several races while recovering from a wrist injury that he incurred at the· Los Angeles Coliseum Supercross on June 20. The Costa Mesa, California, rider suffered crashes and poor starts, posting 11-29 moto finishes for 18th overall. "The wrist doesn't hurt at all," said Dubach. "I haven't been able to train like I should, though, and I'm a little out of shape." KTM's Mike Fisher was at Binghamton, but only as a spectator. Having injured his shoulder in a crash at the August 9 Washougal National, Fisher was on the East Coast visiting Tony Werner, his 1991 season mechanic. Werner was· seriously injured in a street bike accident two months ago, and was in a coma. According to Fisher, Werner came out of the coma three weeks ago and his . condition is improving. ~ oal Sort Jamboree ALVA IUlINIT ~ MIA SANCTIONED Open to Street Legal Dual Sport Bikes Only.
