"Steve put us in another zip code," said Caplinger, who passed Hemann on the final lap to finish second overall and first Expert. Third overall went to Hemann, whose bike quit running on the last lap. He lost many frustrating seconds before finding that the spark plug wire had come off. Chris Graber had the lead in the Intermediate class and didn't know he lost it to Tim Gilliland on the third lap. "I saw him go down on that big hill, so I took a line over to the side and passed him in the woods where he couldn't see me," said Gilliland. Gilliland put 30 seconds on Gruber by the end of the final lap. ~c:::» fI RiCk Joh Results O/A: I. Steve Leivan (Yam); 2. Chris Caplinger (ATK); 5. JCIT)' Hemann (Hbg); 4. Leigh Letellier (KTM); 5.
