Rapid starts in his heat race and the Open Expert final put Billy Luker in front and he worked the track to keep first place to the checkers in both races. Second went to Danny Ritchie, who was under constant pressure by Johnny Murphree. In the 500cc Expert class it was Murphree who grabbed the holeshot in his heat ra,ce, and was still stretching his lead when the race ended. Luker grabbed the lead at the green light in the final. Second into turn one was Michelle DiSalvo, but by lap three the hard-charging Ritchie had gOllen by DiSalvo and set out after Luker. On lap nine Ritchie caught Luker coming out of tum two. The two touched and Luker went down but was uninjured. Crowley pressured DiSalvo but couldn't find a way around, and Ritchie went on to win ahead of DiSalvo. Kenny Remo was a come-from-behind winner in his I25cc Novice heat race and final. Then he entered the 250cc Novice class on the same 125cc machine and again won both the heat and the final! It was Remo's hard cornering and quick acceleration off the turns that earned him the lead in both races after midpack starts. , Results PIW 50: I. David Brown (hm); 2. Cole Lambert (Yam); 3.
