NOTICE: NO CAMPING WILL BE PERMITTED AT UNADILLA EVENTS THIS YEAR Bill Swenson and Mary Walker were married just before the start. Swenson went on to finish eighth in his class. opened a few eyes. After being out of the sport for two years while attending college back East, the youngest of the Folks clan returned to racing at Ely aboard a KTM I 25cc. Jumping right into the fray as a 125cc Pro, he won the class by almost two minutes over Kawasaki KXl25-mounted John Braasch, who started on row two. Being in front for practically the entire race didn't seem to phase the smooth-riding Morris, who com. mented, "I wasn't trying to go fast. It was an easy course to crash on if you went fast. 1 was just trying not to make mistakes and crash." A tip-over as he came up on lappers near the end caused Morris' front brake to lock up, forcing him to wobble in to the finish, but his winning margin was still substantial. "I didn't know 1 had that big of a lead until 1 pitted on the third lap. This is my first overall in a Best in the Desert race. I've gotten a coupleof seconds, but I've never won. I've won in Baja, but it seems like local wins always elude me." CN Nam~: _ City; Siale; Leatherstocking Country, n.y. Results OPEN PRO:1. Scoll Morris (Kaw); 2. Deslry Abboll (KTM); 3.
