finishing ahead of Hampshire,
Lawrence earned enough points
to secure the 250SX East title.
"I was more so excited about
the actual race than the actual
championship there at the end,"
Lawrence said. "It wasn't just
catch, pass, and go on; we were
both yo-yoing a lot, and he'd
get a guy, then I'd get the guy.
It was fun. I think that was one
of my more fun races because
I couldn't just catch and pass
wherever I wanted."
Brown looked like he could
wrap up his first win in Fox-
borough. He led 14 laps of
the 18-lap main. The GasGas
rider looked strong all day and
avoided a big tangle that put
Hampshire on the ground just
before the takeoff of the triple
jump. Brown eventually got swal-
lowed up by the charging duo of
Forkner and Lawrence before
bringing it in for his second third-
place of the season.
"I wish I could've held on a
little bit longer, but it was good
to lead laps and get that feel-
ing," Brown said. "I've never led
a main event before, so it was
really cool to be up there with
the guys and be in the mix, I
think that's the feeling I've been
looking for all season. I feel like
we're building and this is a good
step forward."
