SUPERHARD Video Series Goes Live
A
gainst management's bet-
ter judgement, Klim and
Cycle News have partnered on
a new video series showcas-
ing the events of the growing
hard enduro scene in North
America—and possibly beyond.
Starting with the 2022, U.S.
Hard Enduro Series kick-off in
Page, Arizona, at the Grinding
Stone XC, Klim's Lukas Eddy
and Cycle News' Jesse Ziegler
take a not-too-serious look at
what it takes to participate from
a real-world rider's perspective.
The end result for Episode 1 of
SUPERHARD is not super seri-
ous, but it is pretty fun.
"We're not trying to enter
these races and pretend we're
actually great at this stuff," said
Ziegler. "Hard enduro is arguably
the most technically challeng-
ing form of motorcycle racing,
combining trials skills with enduro
speed—neither of which we have
an abundance of. So, we're
more here for the challenge,
the shenanigans, the culture of
like-minded weirdos who want to
try new things and to hopefully in-
spire more people to ride outside
their comfort zone by entering a
race on their dirt bike."

P56
said for Karen Stoffer and Vance
& Hines Suzuki's Eddie Krawiec.
Stoffer set the record in
Gainesville last month with a
6.66 elapsed time, the quickest
run in the history of the class.
She also qualified number one
in Houston with a 6.73. Her bid
for a second-straight win ended
when her bike drifted toward the
centerline in the semifinal round.
Despite the loss, Stoffer remains
the championship leader after
two of 15 rounds.
Krawiec has also made steady
progress as he continues the
transition from V-twin to Suzuki.
Krawiec qualified third in the
quick field and rode to wins over
Ryan Oehler and Joey Glad-
stone, but he had very little for
Johnson when they met in the
other half of the semifinals.
