Moto3
Sergio Garcia (Valresa GasGas
Aspar Team) took his second
win of the year in Portugal, first
escaping in the lead and then
fighting it out in a five-rider battle
that went down to the final lap.
Austin winner Jaume Masia
(Red Bull KTM Ajo) was back
on the podium in second as he
gets into the 2022 groove, and
likewise Ayumu Sasaki (Steril-
garda Max Racing Team) in third
as the Japanese rider continues
his speed this season.
Garcia's win puts him at the top
of the tree in the title chase with
83 points over Dennis Foggia at
82, with Masia third at 54.

MOTOGP I FIM MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
I need help from the bike. Then it's true that
even like this I'm trying to take 100% from the
bike and even like this I was fighting against
the other Hondas but my target is not to be
the first Honda. My target is to fight for the
top positions. But all these things are not in
the correct way now. Also, it was a special
weekend that we don't test a lot, but nobody
tested, so this is not an excuse."
VIDEO ANALYSIS MAKING
AN IMPACT
After Andrea Dovizioso said he would turn to
video analysis to improve his riding technique
in Austin, Aprilia's Aleix Espargaro confirmed
Aprilia has found small gains in recent weeks
by having a rider coach and video camera
standing trackside. "They can do magic with
the videos now," said the Catalan. "They can
find the [correct] gearbox [setting], the line,
the time per corner, everything."
Briefly...
Sergio Garcia came out on top of the Moto3 battle but crashed
when coming into the winner's circle in pit lane.
