Roper Wins California Trials Invitational

osh Roper led a GasGas
sweep of class wins at the
third annual California Trials
Invitational (CTI), making him the
back-to-back Men's Pro-class
champ of the one-off event held
at KTM North America's RD Field
in Murrieta, California, April 20.
The final results came down to
the final obstacle on the final
test, similar to last year's nail-bit-
ing tiebreaker where Roper also
won. This year, Roper edged out
the dominant trials champion,
FactoryONE Sherco's Pat Smage
for the win. GasGas' Daniel
Blanc-Gonnet took home third.
In the Women's division,
GasGas' Madeleine Hoover took
the win over Louise Forsely and
in the new-for-2022 Junior Pro
class, GasGas' Murphy Aaron
took the win over Ryon Land with
Max Glueck in third.
While branded a GasGas event,
the CTI is open via invite to top
trials competitors, regardless of
