"It sucked that they both
[crashes] happened but it is
what it is," Lawrence said. "That
was the biggest thing today was
the traction because obviously
it was muddy during the quali-
fiers, so it was just seeing what
the traction was going to be like
and when it's going to be tacky
and grippy. I found out in both of
those spots that it wasn't tacky
at all. But it is what it is, you
can't really complain and throw
your arms up. You've got to get
back on the bike, put your head
down, bum up, and keep charg-
ing."

Jett Lawrence rounded out
the podium after a slew of
mistakes and comebacks. A fall
while running third in the main
event saw him drop to 15th in
the running order. However,
his main competitor Cameron
McAdoo is out with injury, mak-
ing Jett's championship hopes
fairly certain. Lawrence clawed
his way through the pack and set
the fastest lap of any rider during
both main events. He locked into
a battle with Shimoda late in the
race where Lawrence skied a
roller single to secure the final
slot on the podium.

Christian Craig (28) was the center of a Lawrence sandwich
when all was said and done. Craig took second and could
clinch the title at the next 250SX West round in Denver.
