ROUND 14 / APRIL 16, 2022 ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY / ATLANTA, GEORGIA P54 SUPERCROSS I MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES 450SX Anderson topped the 450SX division to earn his fourth win of the 2022 season. This comes at a great time for the Kawasaki rider, as he's experienced some recent inconsistencies, only finishing on the podium once in the last five races leading up to Atlan- ta. The number-21 started up front in third place and followed close to Chase Sexton, as they made their way into the one and two spots. Sexton only led one lap before tucking the front end and handing the lead over to Anderson. Right time, right place, though, for Anderson, because once he got the lead, he never gave it up. I have to give it up to the team, I had a big crash last week and they came down to Florida and we figured some stuff 51 JUSTIN BARCIA 6TH 450SX "It was a pre y crazy day with a different schedule and only having one prac ce," said Jus n Barcia. "I ended up qualifying P6, which was not a bad place since the track was pre y slippery and kind of wild and one-lined. I wasn't par cularly stoked on my heat-race finish but I got through it and did some bike changes for the main and ripped an awesome holeshot, it felt so good! Unfortunately, I had a few mistakes, went down and just didn't ride that well, so it was definitely a tough night but I'm a tough SOB and I'm going to go back to Cali, work hard this week and come out swing- ing at the next round!" Points leader Eli Tomac didn't get the win but rode to a safe second, although he did have a few moments along the way...
