The inaugural round of the
North American Talent Cup was
held at Austin for riders between

it was Californian Ohvale prodigy
Jesse Shedden who dominated
proceedings with two wins from
two starts.
Petersen was hot on Gagne's
heels in fourth, 0.1 seconds
behind, while Richie Escalante
(Vision Wheel M4 Ecstar Suzuki)
rounded out the top five in his

leads the way on 50 points from
Scholtz on 40 and Petersen
on 29, with Escalante tied with

tersen a further 11 seconds back
in third, with the returning PJ
Jacobsen (Tytlers Cycle Racing

former MotoGP rider Hector Bar-

Race two saw Petrucci take
the flag by a more substantial
5.9 seconds after breaking the
challenge of Scholtz with Gagne

It wasn't the ideal
championship-

Jake Gagne, but he
at least came away
with some good
