the end of the opening lap. Law- rence put in a strong effort as he worked up to an eventual fifth. His 1-1-5 finishes were enough for second overall. "I was looking forward to may- be making a clean sweep, but RJ was definitely making it hard on me with those starts," Law- rence said. "That third moto kind of sucked, because I gave the guy as much room as I thought [I could], but I guess you have to be more cautious around them. But I blame myself more than the other guy. We all get sketchy through the whoops, and I should've given him more room." With his main championship rival, Cameron McAdoo, out for the night due to an injury suffered on Friday's press day, Lawrence further extends his points lead to 34. Mitchell Oldenburg pulled through with third place at the end of the night. The MotoCon- cepts Honda rider has been solid all season, splitting time between the 450 out West and the 250 on the East. Oldenburg was in the mix all night, even battling for the lead at times. His consistency paid off as he started up front in all three races and ran with Hampshire and Lawrence for much of the three- race format. In the end his 3-3-4 finishes were good enough for third, scoring him his first podium since East Rutherford 2019. "Crazy night for me," Olden- burg said. "Honestly, this one probably feels the best. I felt like my other podiums I was expect- ed to do it, but this one really tops them, for sure." CN ROUND 13 / APRIL 9, 2022 AMERICA'S CENTER / ST.
