Bolt Crowned In Germany
G
reat Britain's Billy Bolt
wrapped up his second con-
secutive FIM SuperEnduro World
Championship after another stel-
lar weekend in Riesa, Germany,
March 19-20. The Rockstar
Energy Husqvarna Team rider fin-
ished off the championship with
a double sweep, topping the final
two rounds of the championship.
Bolt, aboard the Husqvarna
FE 350 four-stroke, thoroughly
dominated the 2022 title race,
winning 14 out of the total 15
heat races over the course of
the championship. In Germany,
Bolt won all six (three each night)
main events, officially clinching
the championship on Saturday.
"It's pretty much been the
perfect season and to cap things
off with a clean sweep here in
Riesa is brilliant," Bolt said. "I've
really enjoyed things this week-
end. Winning the title last night
left me pretty relaxed coming into
today and I felt like that showed
in my riding, and I delivered one
of my best performances of the
season. To win all but one race
this year is pretty special, too. It's
been an amazing championship,
which has gone so well from
the start. The races in Hun-
gary weren't easy, and I'm a little
frustrated that I got beaten in that
first heat there, which is my only
loss all year. From my team, fam-
ily, friends and everyone around
me that supports me, I can't
thank them enough. I'll try to let
this moment sink in as champion
and then look to getting focused
and back on the two-stroke for
hard enduro next month."
The race for vice champion-
ship, however, came down to the
wire. American Colton Haaker
and Great Britain's Jonny Walker
were tied on points going into
the final day of racing Sunday
