second-place finish. Many were
questioning the strength of
McAdoo's knee after he openly
spoke about slightly injuring it
last weekend in Daytona. He
put those rumors to rest with a
great ride on Saturday night. A
sixth-place start held him back
from the leading Lawrence, but
whoop speed all night allowed
him to pass up to second place.
"Obviously I'd like to be closer
to Jett at the beginning and be
able to race him," McAdoo said.
"Starting seventh is not going to
work. I felt like I put some good
laps together, and then I think
we got a bit of a gift with the
lappers tightening us all up, but I
wish I was a little bit closer when
that happened."
In response to his knee, McA-
doo said, "I would've said it's not a
factor this morning. It's sore obvi-
ously and it was pretty swollen, but
I got some days riding last week
and nothing is actually injured with
it, which I was concerned about in
Daytona. That's why I didn't really
talk about it much. We got it all fig-
ured out, and she's strong so we're
good to go."
Brown rounded out the 250
podium, scoring only the second
main event podium of his career.
