Last season while fielding a private Indian
FTR750, Bronson Bauman's best finish
was fourth. Meanwhile, Latus Motors
Harley-Davidson's struggles were even
more pronounced, collec ng just one fin-
ish be er than 10th (eighth) in a field that
didn't go much deeper than that. In their
first race together, Bauman guided the
Latus Motors-tuned XG750R to a s rring
second. He said, "The day started off not
the greatest—typical Bronson Bauman
story it seems like. So, for the main event
we made some big changes—threw the
kitchen sink at it. We got a good start
from the second row and found a line
that was working. Next thing you know,
I'm in second. I just kept clicking them off
and watching the me go down. I tried to
maintain what I was doing, and it turned
into the Cinderella story."
