The Rockstar Husqvarna rider began clicking off laps and did a good job of not falling victim to the track or the chaos going on behind him. He rode it in for his row at the gnarliest Supercross on the schedule. Robertson holeshotted the main event, once again, but quickly settled into second behind Lawrence. never looking back. He led every lap of the 14-lap main event and secured his first Daytona win in his first try. With this victory he se- cured his hold on the series points lead, five over McAdoo. "It definitely made my life a lot easier this weekend," Lawrence said about his win. "Stilez [Rob- ertson] was there for a majority of the time, it felt like longer than 10 minutes, and I could see him out of the corner of my eye in those U-turns. I knew he was there, but it was good and kept me focused … but it was definitely a nice calm weekend. A lot nicer than last weekend and at least I can go to sleep easier tonight." Only one rider was better than Robertson in the 250SX main. It was his second runner-up in a row at Daytona. Cameron McAdoo finished out the night on the 250SX East podium but lost ground to points leader Lawrence. He and Lawrence were tied at the top of the championship coming into the race.
