Webb. Tomac was all over Webb with only
a few laps to go but the deal was sealed
when Webb fumbled with a lapped rider,
allowing Tomac to take the lead and close
out the final three laps. At the checkers he
claimed his sixth Daytona victory, the win-

"It's unbelievable to get win number six,
and it was everything I wished for," Tomac
said. "It was a tough day, though. I was hav-
ing a little bit of a tough time with the track
earlier in the day, but once the lights came
on, it was like I flipped a switch, and it was
game on. Me and Cooper rode wire-to-wire
for most of the race. We were going back

"I got P1 in prac ce and I won my heat
race, so it was a really good start to the
night," Stewart said. "I had a li le mishap
in the main event—I didn't have the best
start and then I got into it with Anderson
and Tomac and I got knocked off the track,
and then Anderson and I went down in
the next turn and we got back up and we
fought. We felt good tonight and it was a
good ride for us despite what happened,
but that's part of racing. We're going to
take what we learned and keep moving
forward."

"For sure, it was be er than the last
couple of weeks. It's cool to fight up front
and be back in the ba le. The track was
pre y gnarly tonight. We got a good start
in the heat race and be er than usual
in the main, so it was a good step in the
right direc on. Again, it was good to be
back in the top-five with the guys figh ng
for a podium posi on, and that's be er
than the last few weeks."
