"That's the gnarliest track I've
raced on since I moved to the big
class," Sexton said. "I was just
searching for lines and wasn't really
flowing there around halfway but
then got a little better. Yesterday I
had a pretty good get off on press
day on the [jump] before the tun-

change from yesterday to today so
it's good to see that I felt more com-

Sexton rode a solid but quiet
race to finish third on the night.
He benefited from the Stewart-

NO STARS ALIGNED
Star Racing Yamaha riders Jeremy
Martin and Levi Kitchen did not suit
up for the Daytona Supercross.
Kitchen was still feeling the effects
of a crash at Arlington that left him
with a cracked tibia and a broken
knee cap. Martin crashed dur-
ing midweek practice, injuring his
shoulder. They join teammate Justin
Cooper on the injured list. The Mon-
day following the Daytona race, the
team announced that Kyle Chisholm
will fill in for the rest of the series in
the 250SX East Championship.
STEWART, ANDERSON
PENALIZED
After the checkered flag flew, the
AMA later docked both Malcolm
Stewart and Jason Anderson one
position for their "off-track advan-
tage." Both riders accelerated after
they were pushed off the side of the
course. Eighth is Stewart's worst
finish of the year with ninth being
Anderson's second worst (10th at
Anaheim 1).
FORKNER INJURED
Earlier this week Austin Forkner con-
firmed he broke his collarbone from
the crash last weekend with Jett Law-
rence. It is not yet known exactly how
long the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit
Kawasaki rider will be sidelined.
