Neither could have stayed home had the other one come, so in the end they both did. Both rode steadily and bravely; neither succumbed to physical or mental weakness. Most importantly, neither crashed. Not only did this mean no further risk to their own injuries, but also it preserved other riders from the chance of being innocent victims themselves. This was the biggest save. By not crashing, the pair saved racing from having to take a serious look at regulations that appear to let riders out on track in questionable physical condition. the line by a couple of tenths, top CRT finisher, with the frustrated Edwards another second adrift. The last points went to Danilo Petrucci, the last rider on the same lap; a distant Karel Abra- ham, and Yonny Hernandez; with Hiroshi Aoyama, Brian Staring and Lukas Pesek spaced out behind.
