Ducati Releases The XDiavel Nera
D
ucati has unveiled its new,
limited-edition XDiavel Nera.
A collaboration between Ducati
and Italian interior design compa-
ny Poltrona Frau, the Nera is me-
chanically identical to the base
model XDiavel with its 160-horse-
power Testastretta DVT L-twin,
but comes with a different seat
and little style upgrades like
black-on-black paint, the brake
calipers and valve covers painted
in Ducati Red and the forged
Marchesini wheels painted in
gloss black.
The seat is the big thing, how-
ever. Designed by Poltrona Frau,
it comes in one of five special
colors of Siam Red, Steel Blue,
Cemento, India and Selva.
"The XDiavel Nera project
was born from the encounter
between two Italian excel-
lences," said Director of the
Centro Stile Ducati Andrea Fer-
raresi. "Ducati and Poltrona Frau
are two brands with a unique
history, they share a passion for
beauty and well-made objects,
they are strongly Italian and
make craftsmanship a distinctive
element, always supporting it
with sophisticated technological
solutions and the use of high-
quality materials."
The XDiavel Nero is limited
to 500 editions and will cost
$29,795, marking a $4200 price
hike over the base XDiavel S.

The Nera comes with
a fancy seat and a few
